Aviation: Winnipeg Airport shut down for outgoing traffic

At Winnipeg James Richardson International Airport in Manitoba no flight is leaving at this time.

A “security incident” involving baggage has grounded all outgoing flights from the Winnipeg James Richardson International Airport on Sunday night.

Baggage drop areas at the Winnipeg airport have also been shutdown as part of the investigation, said a spokesperson with the Winnipeg Airports Authority.

YWG tweeted: ATTN YWG travellers: We are currently investigating a security incident related to baggage. Outbound flights are delayed while we conduct our investigation. We apologize for the interruption.
