Qatar Airways reveals new brand video at Air Cargo China 2018 in Shanghai

Qatar Airways Cargo launched its new brand video at its exhibition stand today at one of the leading air cargo events, Air Cargo China, taking place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from 16 to 18 May 2018.

The cargo carrier’s new brand campaign, launched recently through a series of print advertisements, positions itself as a premium air cargo provider and reaffirms its commitment to air freight and customer service excellence. The premiere of the cargo carrier’s new brand video to the press and guests during the opening of its exhibition stand at the tradeshow was an impressive highlight. The 90-second video brings Qatar Airways Cargo’s strongest attribute, its human touch, to the forefront of the new campaign and emphasizes its commitment to deliver on promises, and the care and reliability shown by its global team of dedicated employees.

Qatar Airways Chief Officer Cargo, Mr. Guillaume Halleux who delivered a welcome speech at the tradeshow, said: “We are glad to once again participate in Air Cargo China, a leading logistics event in Asia and globally that attracts a large audience and generates numerous business opportunities. It is a great honor to launch the first brand video in Qatar Airways Cargo’s history at this prestigious biennial industry event.

Mr. Guillaume Halleux, together with esteemed VIPs: Mr. Stefan Bilger, Parliamentary State Secretary in the Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure of Germany; Mr. Martin Gunthner, Senator for Economic Affairs, Labor and Ports of the federal state of Bremen; and Mr. Thomas Webel, Minister of Regional Development and Transport of Saxony Anhalt, celebrated the new facelift of Qatar Airways Cargo’s 112 square meter exhibition stand with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The ceremony took place in the presence of a large gathering of guests including members of the media, which was followed by a musical performance that drew many more visitors to the stand.

The Qatar Airways Cargo stand (number 207), located in Hall N1, showcases a modern design and luxurious ambience, in keeping with the cargo carrier’s position as a progressive, world-class industry leader within the air freight sector. The stand is brilliantly designed to feature spacious and luxuriously appointed meeting rooms and hospitality lounges. Embellished with a signature Arabic motif, privacy screens located in the open spaces reflect the cargo carrier’s cultural heritage amidst a contemporary theme.


As a leader in the air transportation of pharmaceutical and perishables, Qatar Airways Cargo will also participate in the Air Cargo China forum on 18 May, sharing its expertise in collaboration, technology and innovation in the air freight of temperature-controlled specialized products. The cargo carrier has made continuous investment to enhance all its air freight products and services.

Qatar Airways Cargo will receive the delivery of two Boeing 777 freighters in the next two quarters, taking its total freighter fleet to 25 aircraft in 2018. Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, also recently signed a letter of intent to purchase five Boeing 777 freighters to bolster its cargo division’s rapid fleet expansion.
