Southwest Airlines free-falling from the skies makes emergency landing in Philadelphia

“The plane felt like it was freefalling going down and we were probably going down for 10 or 15 minutes and of course, everyone is freaking out. Everyone is crying. It was the scariest experience.” This is a tweet from a passenger on Southwest Airlines Flight 1380 after an emergency landing at 11.00 am this morning in Philadelphia

First responders were on the scene after a B737-700 of Southwest Airlines jet made an emergency landing at Philadelphia International Airport.

The flight was on the way from New York LGA to Houston when the left engine exploded, injured a passenger when causing a serious emergency and landing in Philadelphia.

One person was transported from the scene to the hospital. No word on their condition.

Rumors are an engine exploded. It was a major incident, but details are not yet known. Rumors say some of the cockpit is destroyed.

The flight  had 50 mph winds & some incredibly turbulent moments. I feel so nauseous and like I’m going to throw up any second But I still want to kiss the feet of the SouthwestAir pilot who got us home, was another tweet.

The pilot was praised for managing to land this crippled airliner.
