Turkish Airlines says no to Skytrax World Airline Audit and remains 4 star

Being audited by Skytrax is a choice, most likely a costly choice. Being rated 5-star airline by Skytrax is a huge achievement for any airline. This 5 star titled is used in prominent marketing outreach by airlines holding these titles. Currently the title was given to ANA, Asiana, Cathay Pacific, Etihad, EVA Air, Garuda, Hainan Airlines, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines.

According to Sophie, a spokesperson for Skytrax, the organization assesses hundreds of airlines every year. Skytrax is the organization giving stars to the overall airline rating according to Skytrax formula. Turkish Airlines has currently rated a four-star airline, even though the airline has not been included and cooperated with the World Airline Audit offered by Skytrax. This may be a special achievement on its own.

The World Airline Audit is when an airline can subscribe to receive the full detailed analysis, results. That’s a choice option many airlines use, but not Turkish Airlines.

Turkish Airlines has not been included in that for a number of years.

Turkish Airlines announced this choice again in a recent press release issued last Friday announcing it had decided not to participate in the Skytrax World Airline Audit.

The release continues to say: Turkish Airlines, the airline flying to more countries and international destinations than any other, aims to perfect the flight experience it offers to its passengers through new services, particularly those introduced in recent years.

Regarding both passenger satisfaction and experience as its top priorities, the national flag carrier airline will keep taking firm steps at improving its product, service and quality processes with the experience it has attained from passenger ratings and feedback.

From this date on, Turkish Airlines, aiming to excel at total brand experience offered to its passengers at İstanbul New Airport, which will be operational on October 29, 2018, will only take the evaluations based on direct passenger experience into consideration.

A four-star rating for Turkish Airlines means in the world of Skytrax :A seal of Quality Approval awarded to airlines that deliver a good overall Quality performance. The ranking represents airlines providing good Product standards across different travel cabins, and delivering good standards of Staff Service for the Onboard and home-base Airport environments.
