Air Traffic Management Policy Institute workshop cancelled: Cannot live up to high standards

The ATM (Air Traffic Management) Policy Institute has announced that it has had to cancel its workshop scheduled to be held from October 22-23, 2018. The Institute said that unfortunately, given the time available, it was concerned that there was risk the event would not live up to their own high standards and expectations.

The ATM Policy Institute was created to lead the debate on how to improve the efficiency and performance of air traffic management through market liberalization. The institute provides research on ATM policy issues and communicates the benefits of enabling air navigation service providers to compete with each other for the provision of ATM services.

The ATM Policy Institute states that liberalization will not happen without support from the aviation industry, governments, and regulators. Its objective is, therefore, to illustrate the benefits of liberalizing ATM to these different groups and to drive the debate in this area. ATM acts as a means for like-minded members of the aviation industry to collectively pursue the goal of liberalization and, through workshops, to share ideas and research.

The Institute hopes to re-schedule this workshop at a later date.
