Moscow airports were forced to cancel or delay more than 40 flights on Saturday, December 21, due to poor weather conditions. At the moment, Domodedovo Airport is experiencing the most problems with the scheduled flights. Four flights were canceled and 11 flights were delayed.
At Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport, 11 flights were also canceled. Vnukovo Airport canceled one flight and delayed 10. Only smaller Zhukovsky Airport had not canceled or delayed a single flight.
According to airport officials, bad the weather, in particular – poor visibility due to fog, was creating problems with take-off and landing of aircraft.
