Delta Air Lines reported it had lifted a ground stop that the airline had imposed on all domestic flights on Tuesday night due to a technical issue.
The airline said it had experienced an online outage that resulted in a nationwide ground stop, which means all flights have to remain on the ground. According to Delta, international flights were not affected.
The airline issued a statement saying: “There was no disruption or safety impact on any Delta flights in the air.” None of the statements indicated what the specific technology issue was, and the airline statement said its IT teams worked diligently to resolve the issue impacting some of their systems.
It is not known how many flights were affected by the ground stop.
