The oneworld alliance announced the Amsterdam launch of the group’s inaugural fully branded European lounge.
Shortly after the debut of its inaugural premium lounge at Seoul’s Incheon International Airport in January, oneworld, has now reimagined the premium travel experience with the upcoming opening of their new oneworld lounge.
This second branded lounge has been opened by oneworld in partnership with ASPIRE, the lounge division of Swissport, a global provider of aviation ground services. The opening of the lounge coincides with oneworld’s 25th anniversary, marking a significant milestone for the alliance.
Situated in the non-Schengen departure section of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, this opulent lounge spans 473 square meters and provides an array of elegant seating options within a modern and airy environment. Here, patrons can unwind, replenish, and rejuvenate themselves before their upcoming journey.
Non-stop flights to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol are operated by eight oneworld member airlines, including American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberia, Qatar Airways, Royal Air Maroc, and Royal Jordanian.
The oneworld lounge, located in the non-Schengen zone, will welcome all eligible oneworld customers. It will serve as the dedicated lounge for passengers departing on international flights outside of the Schengen area. The oneworld member airlines collectively provide over 200 weekly flights to Amsterdam, connecting the capital of the Netherlands to over 900 destinations worldwide within the oneworld member network.
The newly inaugurated lounge operates every day from 5:30am to 10:00pm. It caters to oneworld Emerald and Sapphire customers who are departing from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol but not within the Schengen area and are traveling on oneworld flights. Additionally, First and Business Class customers of oneworld member airlines can also access the lounge.
