On the Schengen levels of Piers D and E in Terminal 2, starting right away passengers can take advantage of the same new free services and facilities that have already been enjoying enormous popularity in Terminal 1 for several months. These include comfortable rest areas and attractive workplaces at all gates, a new play area for children, the third Gaming World at Germany’s largest air traffic hub, a small café, and an exhibition area. A fascinating exhibit there titled “On the Trail of Aviation” currently provides glimpses behind the scenes at Frankfurt Airport.
“Thanks to all the new facilities we are now inaugurating, all passengers can now enjoy a very pleasant airport experience in this terminal area,” says Martina Pfeffer, who is in charge of terminal management at Fraport AG. “Every day we welcome around 7,000 passengers who wait here for their flights or connections to destinations elsewhere in Europe: a very heterogeneous group that includes everything from frequent business fliers across families on vacation to backpacking world travelers. And in keeping with our motto, ‘Gute Reise! We make it happen’, we are going all out to provide ways for all of them to enjoyably pass the time until their flights are reading for boarding.”
Fraport, the company that runs Frankfurt Airport, makes a huge effort to satisfy all passengers and meet their varied needs, introducing a steady stream of new services and facilities to keep improving the passenger experience and the standard of customer service at Germany’s foremost transportation hub.
Passengers and visitors can find more information on the diverse services available at Frankfurt Airport by visiting its website, Service Shop, or Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or YouTube pages.
