‘Future Global Opportunities for UK Tourism’ conference announces line-up of high level speakers

The organizers of the ‘Future Global Opportunities for UK Tourism’ conference taking place at the International Business Festival on Thursday 28 June 2018, has announced the event’s complete line-up high level speakers.

Trends that will impact the future of the industry will kick off the conference with Debbie Marshall, Managing Director Silver Travel and Stephen Treacy, CEO Tribe 101 joining Jon Young, Research Director BDRC
The perceptions of Brand Britain and how the country could be marketed in the future will be tackled by Kurt Stuhllemmer, Partner from strategic brand consultancy Hall & Partners.

Brand loyalty and how to keep a destination front of mind with travellers, will take centre stage as James McVeigh, Head of Marketing & Innovation, Festivals Edinburgh will share his thoughts on brand loyalty to sustain and develop the position of Edinburgh as one of the world’s leading festival cities.

Airline transport consultant John Strickland will be chairing a ‘Sky’s The Limit’ regional airports and airlines session featuring John Irving, CEO Liverpool Airport, James Ager, Director Strategy Manchester Airport Group; Kate Sherry, Deputy Director Route Development Ryanair and Ali Gayward, UK Country Manager easyJet.

Colin Fox, Marketing Manager English Lakes Hotels Resorts & Venues and Chairman of the Lake District Japan Forum joins Jennifer Cormack, Sales and Marketing Director Windermere Lake Cruises and Chairman of the Lake District China Forum to illustrate how successful marketing campaigns to attract visitors can be achieved with limited budgets.
New business models and new opportunities for doing business will be the key issues raised by Rhys Griffiths, Partner and Head of Travel Group at award winning European legal firm FieldFisher.

How AI and technological advancements will impact on the industry will take center stage as Katie King, Managing Director Zoodikers will challenge delegates to adapt in order to survive and thrive.

A ‘New World Tourism Order’ panel will feature Anthony Pickles, Head of Tourism Affairs, VisitBritain and VisitEngland; Deirdre Wells, Chief Executive UKinbound; Chris Brown, Marketing Director, Marketing Liverpool.
The conference will end with a keynote address on the Festival’s Futures Stage by Cherie Blair, QC, CBE who will be highlighting ‘The Importance of People in a Globalised Economy’.

The conference is to be chaired by Sky presenter, reporter and producer Hayley McQueen.

The cost of the conference is £249.00 + VAT, which includes admission to all the days of the Festival running from 12 – 28 June. (excludes other paid for Festival hosted events).
