Hawaiian Airlines is raising its checked baggage fees effective immediately.
Hawaiian’s first checked bag fee is now $30 and 2nd bag checked fee is now $40.
This $5 increase is for flights to and from Hawaii and the US mainland. For neighbor island flights, the checked bag fees will remain the same. International flight passengers may still check 2 bags for free.
Hawaiian Airlines World Elite Mastercard primary cardmembers who purchase flights to North America directly from the airline are still eligible to check in the first bag for free.
Many other US airlines also raised their checked baggage fees to $30 this year, including American, Delta, United, and Alaska Airlines.
