Japan Airlines (JAL) sets fuel surcharge levels bimonthly based on the 2-month average price of Singapore kerosene-type jet fuel.
JALannounced that it will maintain no fuel surcharge on all international passenger tickets purchased between June 1 and July 31, 2016.
The price of Singapore kerosene-type jet fuel during the two-month period of February and March 2016 averaged US$44.44 per barrel, which accounted for 5,066 yen in the average exchange rate of 114.00 JPY/USD during the same period.
As a result, with reference to the fuel surcharge benchmark list for FY2016 in Japanese yen, this corresponds to zone of “below 6,000 Yen” resulting in no fuel surcharg
