LATAM Airlines Group today announced two new flights from its Lima hub including a new Caribbean destination, Montego Bay (Jamaica), and a direct service to Calama, Chile.
Starting 1 July 2019, LATAM Airlines Peru will operate three weekly flights to Montego Bay, offering convenient connections with cities in Peru, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia. “Next July, we will offer our passengers even greater choice with a new destination in the Caribbean as well as significantly shorter journey times between Lima and Calama, the gateway to San Pedro de Atacama,” said Enrique Cueto, CEO of LATAM Airlines Group. “As part of our commitment to offering unrivalled connectivity in Latin America, we continue to make it easier to explore the best that this region has to offer, with more destinations and flight options than any other airline group.”
New Caribbean destination: Montego Bay
Located on the north-east of Jamaica, Montego Bay is the island’s financial centre and the principal gateway to many of its resorts and tourist attractions. Jamaica’s year-round tropical climate, white sand beaches, crystal-clear waters and rich cultural heritage draw visitors from around the globe.
From 1 July 2019, LATAM Airlines Peru flight LA2464 (Lima-Montego Bay) will depart Lima’s Jorge Chávez International Airport on Monday, Thursday and Sunday at 12:05, arriving in Montego Bay at 17:00. The return flight (LA2465) will operate on the same days and depart from Sangster International Airport at 18:05, arriving in Lima at 22:50 (all times local).
With the addition of Montego Bay, LATAM will serve five destinations in the Caribbean and Central America: Havana (Cuba), Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), Aruba and San José (Costa Rica), as well other resorts on the Caribbean coast including Cancun (Mexico), Cartagena and San Andrés (Colombia).
