LATAM’s ‘Stormtrooper Plane’ lands in São Paulo, Brazil

LATAM Airlines Group’s “Stormtrooper Plane” touched down at Guarulhos International Airport in São Paulo, Brazil for the first time today. The aircraft’s livery has been designed to celebrate the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida.

“We are excited to mark this relationship with Disney, a company recognized for its commitment to delivering a first-class experience to its customers, which aligns with the work we do every day at LATAM for the 71 million passengers we transport annually. Our customers will now be able to participate in the excitement of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge through our “Stormtrooper Plane”, which will fly to destinations including Orlando, where the new land is based, as well as Miami, Madrid, Frankfurt, Paris and London”, said Paulo Miranda, VP Customers, LATAM Airlines Group.

Designed by Disney’s creative team in conjunction with Lucasfilm, the exterior artwork of the “Stormtrooper Plane” was painted using 2,500 liters of ink over 21 days. The aircraft is a Boeing 777 with capacity for up to 410 passengers and features LATAM’s new cabin standard with new Premium Business seats with direct aisle access, a renovated Economy cabin and LATAM+ Seats, which offer greater space, a dedicated overhead bin and premium services such as priority boarding.
