Southwest Airlines announced new nonstop service between California’s Mineta San José International Airport (SJC) and Oregon’s Eugene Airport (EUG) this summer.
As of June 5, the operation departs SJC daily at 11:45 a.m. and arrives in Eugene at 1:15 p.m. A separate aircraft departs EUG at 12:40 p.m., arriving at SJC at 2:10 p.m.
“We’re very pleased to welcome this new daily service from our friends at Southwest,” said SJC Airport Director, John Aitken. “These ongoing investments by our partners are key in fueling our resilience and help us continue to provide the convenience and access our customers love.”
Eugene, host of five U.S. Olympic Team Trials, is a global destination for sporting events, renowned for its historical connections to elite athletics, including popular marathons and the formation of Nike.
The new air service operates aboard a Boeing 737-700 aircraft, and constitutes Southwest’s 4th market out of Eugene Airport, which is also known as Mahlon Sweet Field. It is the airline’s 26th destination from Mineta San José International.
