Last night, Air Transat revealed its first flight from Toronto to Lima (TS152). On Friday, December 22, the inaugural flight from Montreal to the Peruvian capital will occur (TS150).
These unique Air Transat direct flights, the sole ones connecting Canada and Peru, will be available year-round, with two weekly departures from Toronto and one weekly departure from Montreal.
Lima serves as a highly advantageous entry point in Air Transat’s collection of destinations in South America, enabling the airline to capitalize on the steady rise in tourism across the continent.
Flights are available in addition to a variety of comprehensive packages and meticulously curated individual hotels throughout Peru. In the near future, complementary excursions will also be incorporated into this product selection.
Air Transat flights will be conducted using advanced Airbus A321LR planes, which have roomy interiors, cutting-edge in-seat entertainment systems, and the best fuel efficiency and environmental performance (CO2 and NOx emissions) among similar aircraft.
The introduction of direct flights from Lima Airport to two popular Canadian cities marks a notable achievement in Peruvian commercial aviation. It is an extraordinary moment for Lima Airport Partners, carrying significant importance for the recovery of the Peruvian aviation industry. These flights will boost inbound tourism, enhance connectivity, and foster new partnerships between Peru and Canada.
ADM Aéroports de Montréal states that Air Transat is introducing a direct flight to Lima, providing an opportunity for travelers to explore a destination abundant in history and culture. This year-round service will be advantageous not only for Montreal’s Peruvian community, but also for all Quebecois travelers interested in discovering the region.
