Building on the recent announcement that ParkCloud now holds on-site parking partnerships with Italy’s top five airports, the European online parking reservation leader has further expanded its growth within the Italian airport network with the addition of Italy’s ninth* largest airport – Palermo.
The newly agreed contract will enable ParkCloud to offer its 3 million registered users the option of reserving their parking at two of Palermo Airport’s on-site parking facilities.
Drivers parking up at both P1 and P2 car parks will now be able to streamline their travel itineraries, with the convenience that pre-booked parking offers, which in turn will enable Palermo Airport to better manage demand, as well benefit from an additional booking stream.
Both car parks are open air, securely monitored and situated directly in front of the terminal building, providing passengers with an accessible route to check-in
ParkCloud’s success across the Italian airport market has been particularly notable over the last 12 months, with its renewed partnership with Turin Airport and landmark deal with SEA Milan Airports bolstering its inventory of 28 Italian airports.
ParkCloud’s Commercial Director, Dr Valentina Moise, said: “It’s important for us as a b2c platform that we continue to expand our network and make further locations available for our customers. Adding popular tourist airports such as Palermo to our inventory, enables us to do just that, giving our Italian customers additional options and a more tailored booking experience.
“The Italian market has long-since embraced pre-bookable parking, and as customers continue to demand a more fluid travel experience, we see great potential to further develop services collaboratively with our partner operators in Italy.”
Palermo Airport – known also as Falcone–Borsellino – is located just 35km from Palermo, the capital city of the popular tourist island of Sicily.
