Ryanair and Aer Lingus have cancelled flights from Dublin Airport for tomorrow morning after the red weather warning was extended.
The airlines are asking passengers due to fly out from the capital to keep an eye on their social media pages.
A spokesperson for Ryanair said: “Ryanair currently plans to return to operations at all Irish airports on Saturday, 3rd March while remaining in close contact with the airports and the emergency authorities.
“We recommend customers check the status of their flight at Ryanair.com before making their way to the airport.
“Based on the latest weather warnings in place for Ireland until Saturday morning, Ryanair expects some further disruptions tomorrow morning and has had to cancel a number of flights to/from Dublin airport.
“All affected customers have already been notified of their options by email and SMS text message and should avoid traveling to the airport.
“We are doing everything we can to re-accommodate affected customers and minimize disruption to their travel plans and we apologize for any inconvenience caused by these disruptions which are entirely outside of our control.”
And Aer Lingus said there will also be disruptions to flights at Dublin Airport.
They said: “We expect flights to/from Cork, Belfast, Knock to operate as scheduled. This is subject to further update
“We await information on when Shannon is expected to become operational and we will update when this is confirmed.
“Our website will be updated to reflect this information.
“Due to continued severe weather, and extension by Met Eireann of Status Red warning for Dublin until Saturday morning, our Dublin short haul flight schedule on Saturday will be disrupted with early morning flights cancelled and most operations not commencing until after 10am.”
