In Toronto, Ontario, Canada’s Billy Bishop Airport on the Toronto Islands is the home base of Porter Airline, a French aircraft. The Deluce aircraft family, which includes Robert, nephew Peter, brother Michael, and other members, has been an operator and/or executive with Air Ontario, Canada 3000, among other airlines. Porter Aviation Holdings Inc. is the owner.
Rob Palmer has joined Porter Airlines as its new executive vice president and chief economic officer, the firm announced today.
Palmer has a strong background in business, most recently serving as vice president, business, approach, and chief financial officer of The Calgary Airport Authority. His duties included accounting, internal controls, government, reporting, and long-term planning. This practice adds to the vice chairman and controller positions I previously held at WestJet.
We anticipate gaining from Rob’s expertise in aircraft operations and flight finances, according to Michael Deluce, CEO of Porter Airlines. ” His moment at WestJet coincided with its rapid expansion, much like Porter’s current position as we grow into a North American ship.” Rob is a valued new team member, and we are happy to have him here.
Palmer has more than 20 years of experience in common companies, capital markets, financial management, and corporate management across a variety of industries, including top leadership positions with Molson and BCE Emergis and chief financial officer with Northview ResidentialREIT.
Palmer remarked,” It’s very exciting to have the chance to join Porter at a time when the airline industry is changing.” ” I genuinely enjoy working in the aviation sector and with those who decide to pursue jobs there.” My objective is to help Porter become one of North America’s most powerful and superior flights.
