Turkey introduced a passenger security tax

Turkey has introduced an airline passenger security tax of 1,5€ applicable as from 1 January 2018 without any advance notification.

In addition, the Turkish Tourism Minister is considering changes to the tourism strategy and marketing activities. He wants to cut the state-financed budget for tour operators promoting Turkish destinations and plans a more centralized approach focusing on high-end products.
