Vietjet’s hot air balloon recently brought its bikini-clad girls to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta 2017 in the United States – the largest balloon festival in the world.
Vietjet’s balloon, which is 25 meters high and 18 meters wide, covers a large distance and reaches a maximum height of nearly 1,000 meters. The balloon which flaunted Vietjet’s iconic red and yellow colours was showcased to visitors during the first three days of the show.
Hundreds of colourful hot-air balloons painted the Albuquerque skyline as the 46th edition of the Albuquergue International Balloon Fiesta featured unique balloons from 22 countries including United States, Britain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Brazil, the Czech Republic, Vietnam and Japan. Festival visitors had the opportunity of watching the Vietjet balloon lift into the panoramic sky view of Albuquerque with it bikini girls in tow.
Launched in 2016, Vietjet’s hot air balloon has participated in a series of major festivals in Vietnam and around the world. During the 2016 Hue Festival, Vietjet’s balloon was the only representative from Vietnam that participated in the 2016 International Hot Air Balloon Festival which attracted participation from eight other countries including the United Kingdom, Netherlands, India, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines.
In August of the same year, the balloon made its first overseas appearance at Taiwan’s largest hot air balloon festival, Luye Gaotai in Taitung City. Vietjet’s balloon was also the only representative from Vietnam to participate in the ninth “My Balloon Fiesta” in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia alongside 18 participants from 11 different countries earlier this year in March. Following its appearance in the United States, Vietjet’s balloon will make its way to its next destination, Japan this November 2017.
First held in 1972, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is an annual festival of hot air balloons that takes place every October in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. This year, the fiesta successfully attracted the participation over 550 balloons and close to 1,000 pilots worldwide. The festival is currently on-going until 15 October 2017.
