A great new perk on Alaska Airlines for residents of Hawaii who travel popular routes to the islands is the ability to ship a case of wine home. The Wine Flies Free program has expanded to 18 new Alaska Airlines West Coast airports. A case of 12 bottles receives a $25 fee waiver when acknowledged at check-in. The airlines extensive network from points of origin near Napa Valley to Hawaii lets foodies share their California finds with friends and family.
The program allows Mileage Plan members to check a case of wine for free on flights from California airports Burbank, Fresno, Los Angeles, Monterey, Oakland, Ontario, Orange County, Palm Springs, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose and Santa Barbara, as well as Washington airports Bellingham, Seattle, Pullman, Spokane and Wenatchee in addition to the 11 locales already participating.
