Aeromexico plane crashes near Guadalupe Victoria International Airport

Mexican media reports say an Aeromexico airline flight has crashed shortly after taking off from Guadalupe Victoria International airport in Durango in Mexico.

The state’s Governor Jose Rosas Aispuro Torres, tweeted that the Embraer 190 plane tried to take off in bad weather then attempted to abort, but it was too late, and the plan went down after the end of the runway.

It is believed that there were 80 people onboard. Some of the survivors were able to walk away, and some have been transported to nearby hospitals.

The airline officials confirmed they have been made aware of the accident and are now “working to verify the information and get details”.
