First Manila-Da Nang Flight for Cebu Pacific Air

Cebu Pacific Air flight successfully landed at Da Nang International Airport, establishing the first-ever connection between Manila and Da Nang. The flight accommodated 177 passengers, signifying a major milestone in air travel between the Philippine capital and Da Nang. The airline currently operates three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, utilizing A320NEO aircraft. Tran Chi Cuong, vice chairman of Da Nang, highlighted the Philippines as a promising tourism market. Da Nang aims to develop new tourism offerings to attract visitors from the Philippines, as reported by the city’s news portal. Vietnam’s tourism sector is experiencing a rebound, with Southeast Asia showing substantial growth. While South Korea and the U.S. are still recovering to pre-Covid levels, Vietnam observed an increase in Philippine tourists, with over 137,000 visitors during the first 11 months of the year compared to 164,000.


Da Nang, renowned for attractions like the Golden Bridge and Marble Mountains, stands as a prime tourist hub in Vietnam.
