Frontier launches San Jose service with flights to Denver – first of 7 nonstop cities

San José Vice Mayor Magdalena Carrasco and Mineta San José International Airport (SJC) Director of Aviation John Aitken joined today with Frontier Airlines’ Director of Stations Sean Morahan to launch the carrier’s new service at Silicon Valley’s airport. The partners joined together to inaugurate a daily nonstop flight to Denver, with service to six additional cities to follow November through April 2018.

“Today we introduce a new, more affordable way to travel for the San Jose community,” said Frontier’s Morahan. “We’re offering not only amazing low fares, but reliable and friendly service allowing customers to customize their travel experience to their needs and their budget. This empowers more people than ever before to fly and is what our ‘Low Fares Done Right’ philosophy is all about.”

Frontier is offering these routes for Silicon Valley travelers:

Frontier Airlines Launches San Jose/Silicon Valley Service

“We are soaring to new heights today with Frontier Airlines launching Denver as the first of seven cities offered nonstop from Silicon Valley,” said Mayor Sam Liccardo. “I’d like to thank Frontier for its investment in San José and Silicon Valley, and for recognizing the growing importance and interest in our region among both business and leisure travelers.”

“We’re pleased to welcome Frontier Airlines and their loyal customers to Silicon Valley’s airport,” said Aitken. “Frontier’s ultra‐low‐cost fares and convenient travel times to seven US cities where travelers want to go is a welcome addition to our community.”

Frontier’s San Antonio service is a first from Silicon Valley’s airport. Cincinnati and Colorado
Springs were served in the past and mark a welcomed return for travelers.


Additional nonstop service to Atlanta, Austin, Denver and Las Vegas gives travelers another choice in airline and flight times. Southwest Airlines also serves Austin, Denver and Las Vegas nonstop from SJC, while Alaska Airlines serves Austin nonstop, United Airlines serves Denver nonstop, and Delta Air Lines offers nonstop flights to Atlanta and Las Vegas.
