Neos airline introduces first Dreamliner at Milano Malpensa Airport

Neos, a privately-owned airline, presented in Milan Malpensa the first Boeing 787-9 to enter its fleet, which will take off on December 21 to Pointe-a-Pitre, Guadalupe, in collaboration with Costa Crociere.

“With this new aircraft, today, we are facing three challenges and at the same time three reasons of pride,” said Lupo Rattazzi, President of Neos. “For me, personally, this is the fourth long-range machine that I [am] introduc[ing] on the Italian market and is the most innovative; it is, therefore, an Italian pride to bring this aircraft to Italy, as it is for the Alpitour group (tour operating company) that made the project become a reality.”

The second and third entry into the fleet are foreseen respectively “for the months of June and October 2018,” underlined Carlo Stradiotti, Managing Director of the company. “In addition to Guadalupe, the aircraft will be scheduled to cover the Maldives, Zanzibar, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.

“As happened in the nineties with the arrival of the B767, today we once again dedicate a superb, excellent, aircraft like the 787-9, to the passengers who go on vacation, and we hope that it will also be able to stimulate the desire for a holiday.”

This is an operation made possible thanks to the business model of the Alpitour group – “A group in which vertical integration is fundamental,” added Stradiotti. “50% of the total will be ‘flown’ by the group, and the rest thanks to collaborations with historical partners.

:This allows us a balanced growth, acceptable risks, and greater ability to stay on the market.”
