Norwegian Air Shuttle denies buying Russian ill-fated Sukhoi Superjet SSJ-100 planes

Norway’s low-cost airline Norwegian Air Shuttle has denied media reports about the carrier purchasing ill-fated Russian-made Sukhoi Superjet SSJ-100 aircraft for its fleet.

The press service of the airline confirmed that representatives of budget Norwegian carrier were negotiating with the manufacturer of Sukhoi Superjet SSJ-100, but did not make any acquisitions or sign any any contracts.

Various news sources have previously reported that Norwegian Air Shuttle has signed a contract for the purchase of 40 SSJ-100 aircraft.
