New amenity in Terminal 2 provides place of peaceful refuge for passengers

Frankfurt Airport now features a second Quiet Room for passengers and guests looking for a place of stillness away from the hustle and bustle of the terminals.

The new Quiet Room is located in the pre-security area of Terminal 2, in Arrivals E, and is open daily from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Designed to be religiously neutral, the room can be used free of charge by anyone looking for a space to stop and reflect, regardless of their religion, worldview or culture. Quotes by internationally renowned thinkers adorn the windows in gold writing and invite visitors to pause for a peaceful moment of reflection. The walls are wrapped in reflective foil that fill the room with radiant light. In addition, illuminated seating and ceiling cubes create a relaxing, contemplative atmosphere.

Fraport, Frankfurt Airport’s operator, made the decision to open a second Quiet Room in response to increased passenger demand for quiet spaces inside the airport. During the pandemic, many of these services were not available. Now, with the opening of a second Quiet Room, Germany’s largest aviation hub can offer passengers the best possible airport experience at both terminals again.

Frankfurt Airport’s other Quiet Room, located in the transit area of Terminal 1, has been open to guests since the summer of 2017. There are also ten additional religious prayer rooms for Christians, Jews and Muslims across the terminals.

Passengers and visitors can find more information about the wide range of services at Frankfurt Airport on the airport’s website.
