Turkish Airlines: Business is booming with 82.9% load factor

Turkish Airlines, which has recently announced the passenger and cargo traffic results for September 2019, recorded 82.9% load factor in that month. According to the September 2019 Traffic Results of Turkey’s national flag carrier, total number of passengers carried reached 6.7 million. Domestic load factor was 86.1%, and international load factor was 82.5%.

International-to-international transfer passengers (transit passengers) increased by 6.2%, and international passengers excluding the international to international transit passengers increased by 5.5% compared to the same period of last year.

In September 2019, cargo/mail volume increased by 9.8%, compared to the same period of 2018. Main contributors to the growth in Cargo / mail volume were Africa with 11,8%, North America with 11.5%, Far East with 11.4%, and Europe with 10.7% increase.

According to the January-September 2019 Traffic Results:

During January-September 2019 the total number of passengers carried was around 56.4 million.

During that given period, total load factor reached 81.4%. International load factor reached 80.7%, domestic load factor reached 86.4%.

International-to-international transfer passengers carried increased by 3.9%.

Cargo/mail carried during the first nine months of 2019 increased by 9.6% and reach to 1.1 million tons.
