Allegiant Approaches Deal With Flight Attendants

Allegiant and The Transport Workers Union of America, AFL- CIO Local 577 have come to a preliminary deal on all excellent things for the son to their first collective bargaining agreement.
The first collective bargaining agreement between the parties reached its act period on December 21, 2022. After engaging in conversations for nearly 18 months, Allegiant and the TWU effectively achieved a new tentative deal spanning five times. This success was made feasible by leveraging their existing powerful and productive working relationship.
Allegiant’s 1, 700+ flight attendants may benefit from the previously proposed deal, which brings about significant changes. First, wages will see substantial increases, while a customized duty rig will be implemented to provide additional compensation for lengthy operational delays. However, designated Holiday spend will be introduced. Retirement benefits, receive pay, extra aircraft hour calculations, and vacation allocation and pay may also have improvements. In terms of quality of life, Allegiant trip attendants can expect improvements to planning, days of assistance, and leave of absence. Finally, a minimum trip combination pay may be introduced as per the contract.
” We are encouraged the negotiating team for both Allegiant and the TWU have come to a preliminary deal”, said Allegiant President Gregory C. Anderson. ” Our cabin crew take care of our clients as our ministers in the sky. This agreement is structured to effectively increase their knowledge and better recognize their important role as part of Team Allegiant. We look forward to the next step in the process”.
