At the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, UCLA honors the CEO of Delta Air Lines

The UCLA Anderson School of Management just presented the renowned John Wooden Global Leadership Award to Ed Bastian, CEO of Delta Air Lines. Bastian received this prestigious award at a lavish dinner held at Los Angeles ‘ Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
The honor goes to the memory of John Wooden ( 1910–2010 ), a renowned UCLA basketball coach, author, and leadership specialist. It is given to an excellent business president who upholds Wooden’s cherished standards of performance, dignity, and moral values as well as a commitment to community service each year. Bernardo emphasized Bastian’s stage presence as a way to acknowledge his accomplishments and accolades as the Delta innovator, which only revealed the extent of his impressive career.
Ed Bastian has effectively led Delta’s people through some of the most difficult times in the company’s story, including the fallout of 9 / 11 and debt, as well as the ongoing challenges posed by the COVID- 19 crisis. His outstanding management and excellent approach are what made him the night before.
