First Airbus A321neo Delivered to Transavia Airlines

Transavia takes delivery of its first A321neo on lease from Air Lease Corporation

Transavia Airlines, a budget airline based in the Netherlands and a subsidiary of the Air France-KLM group, has received its initial A321neo aircraft through a lease agreement with Air Lease Corporation. The plane was transported from Airbus’ production facilities in Hamburg to Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, utilizing Airbus’ option for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) on the delivery flight. Transavia is now a newly established operator of the A321neo aircraft manufactured by Airbus.

Transavia Airlines is commencing their shift towards a completely modern Airbus fleet with the introduction of the initial A321neo. With its enhanced fuel efficiency and reduced emissions, the A321neo will significantly contribute to the airline group’s sustainable development objectives.

Transavia Airlines has received a brand new A321neo aircraft that can accommodate a total of 232 passengers in a single class configuration. The cabin is equipped with Airbus’ Airspace XL bins, which offer a 40% increase in storage capacity compared to their previous counterparts. This upgrade ensures a smoother and more convenient boarding process for both passengers and cabin crew. Additionally, all seats are equipped with USB-C ports for passengers to conveniently charge their devices, and the aircraft boasts the latest lighting system to enhance the overall passenger experience.

The A321neo belongs to the Airbus A320neo Family, being the biggest member with exceptional range and performance. It comes equipped with sharklets and is powered by the latest CFM International LEAP-1A engines, resulting in a 50% decrease in noise footprint and a 20% decrease in fuel burn and CO₂ emissions compared to older single-aisle aircraft.
