Hong Kong Airlines Aviation Training Centre obtains Occupation Permit

The Hong Kong Airlines Aviation Training Centre has successfully fulfilled the construction requirements set out in the Buildings Ordinance and granted an Occupation Permit (OP) issued by the Building Authority of Hong Kong on 12 February 2019. The OP serves as an important development for Hong Kong Airlines’ new aviation training facility, which is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2019.

Construction of the Hong Kong Airlines Aviation Training Centre began in March 2016, following a ground breaking ceremony officiated by representatives from the Hong Kong government and airport community. Located at 28,

With the foundation in place and façade of the aviation training centre now completed, work is underway to furnish its interiors, including 24 training classrooms, as well as the progressive installation of 12 aircraft simulators and cabin emergency evacuation trainers of various aircraft models operated by the airline. A 25-metre-long swimming pool is also available at the centre for training purposes.
