IAG and Sabre Sign New Distribution Agreement

Sabre Corporation, a prominent provider of software and technology to the global travel sector, and International Airlines Group (IAG) have recently signed a multi-year distribution agreement. This agreement aims to enhance their current partnership and drive the adoption of contemporary travel retailing practices.

Sabre-connected travel buyers and agencies can now sell both traditional EDIFACT content and access NDC offers from British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, and Vueling through the Sabre travel marketplace. This includes Additional Price Points and ancillaries, providing travel agencies with more options to compare and travelers with a better experience and increased transparency. Sabre and IAG’s airlines are collaborating closely and will communicate the rollout of NDC content to Sabre-connected travel agencies on a carrier-by-carrier basis.

The partnership between Sabre and IAG highlights the industry’s move towards modern travel retailing, allowing airlines to distinguish their services and offer personalized experiences to passengers. Both Sabre and IAG are dedicated to advancing the NDC standard as a crucial aspect of the industry’s progress towards contemporary airline retailing, facilitated by offers and orders.
