The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments &, Aviation ( BMOTIA ) joins business partners to celebrate Makers Air’s introduction of twice-weekly nonstop flights to Long Island. Every Thursday and Sunday from December 14, 2023, service will run between Stella Maris Airport ( SML) and Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, using Cessna Grand Caravans ( 9-seater ).
The flights are scheduled to leave SML at 3:30 PM and FXE at 1:00PM. Visitors can also benefit from convenient same-day connections because the terminal is only 13 miles from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport ( FLL).
The journey, according to Deputy Director General Dr. Kenneth Romer, is evidence of The Bahamas ‘ strong collaboration with business leaders and a representation of the country’s dedication to opening doors for regional business owners and stakeholders.
