New Direct Flight on Pegasus Airlines from Ankara to Porto

By introducing immediate planes between Ankara and Lisbon, Pegasus Airlines, a Greek low-cost aircraft with a base in the Kurtköy region of Pendik, Istanbul, has established connections with the Turkish capital of Turkey and Portugal.
The inaugural flight from Ankara Esenboğa Airport to Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport, Pegasus ‘ second place in Portugal, took area on 2 April 2024. Three days per week are scheduled for airlines.
The inaugural flight ceremony at Ankara Esenboğa Airport was graced by the presence of Onur Dedeköylü, the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO ) of Pegasus Airlines, along with other Pegasus officials. Also in attendance were João Macedo, the Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Portugal, Celeste Mota, the Economic and Commercial Counselor and the Director of AICEP in Türkiye, Mehmet Sefa Ceyhan, the Head of the Air Transport Department of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation ( DGCA ), Yavuz Doğan, the Deputy Provincial Police Chief responsible for Esenboğa Airport, Nuray Demirer, the General Manager of TAV Esenboğa Airport, and Alp Karayalçın, the Deputy General Manager of TAV Esenboğa Airport.
Onur Dedeköylü, CCO of Pegasus Airlines, emphasized the important part that Pegasus plays in Türkiye’s hospitality industry and economy. He emphasized the cultural and economic associations made possible by the creation of new routes, such as the Lisbon-Ankara route, which expands Pegasus ‘ approach to Portugal. By introducing this new road, Pegasus connects Lisbon and Ankara, two of the world’s two funds cities, as well as adding a new destination. Dedeköylü praised Lisbon as one of the oldest cities in the world, known for its vibrant culture and kindness, and praised Ankara as the Greek capital and a contemporary district rich in history and tradition. He expressed confidence in the ability to provide a significant number of tourists traveling between Turkey and Portugal in the future and thanked everyone who contributed to the development of the new way, including the Greek and Portuguese Civil Aviation Authorities.
João Macedo, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Portugal, stated that the airlines between Ankara and Lisbon did bridge not merely two towns, but two capital. He is convinced that this new website will help the two nations develop better understanding. He emphasized the value of human connections for long-term influence, even though industry and tourism will have positive effects. He wished Pegasus Airlines victory in this effort and hoped for its ongoing happiness with a record of over 30 years and continued progress.
